No. 44 Fresnaye Guest Toilet Renovation, From Dark & Dated to Light & Defined.

What was once a heavy, enclosed guest toilet with dark finishes and conventional fittings has been entirely stripped back and reimagined by LK1-Projects into a refined, design-forward space.

The original room featured darker tiling, a floating vanity and standard sanitaryware — functional, but visually compact and lacking presence. Every element was removed. Plumbing was reconfigured. Surfaces were prepared from scratch.

In its place, we installed a bold floor-to-ceiling vertical tile feature that now draws the eye upward, elongating the room and introducing architectural rhythm. The patterned floor creates cohesion and movement, while half-height panelling softens the geometry with classic detailing.

A concealed cistern and wall-hung WC modernise the layout, freeing floor space and sharpening the silhouette. The bespoke wooden vanity introduces warmth and texture, paired with a sculptural basin and brushed wall-mounted mixer for a clean, contemporary finish.

Above, a woven pendant light transforms the atmosphere — casting softness into what is now a confident, design-led guest toilet.
